Aus: Friedrich Gottlob Hayne, Getreue Darstellung und Beschreibung der in der Arzneykunde gebräuchlichen Gewächse. wie auch solcher, welche mit ihnen verwechselt werden können (Berlin: Selbstverlag 1805-38), Bd. 1-14. – In der Platte rechts unten signiert: "F. Guimpel fec." Unterhalb der Darstellung betitelt. – Blatt mit weitgehend ausgelegener Knickspur oben links. Sonst guter Erhaltungszustand.

Friedrich Guimpel (1774 Berlin - 1839 Berlin). Deutscher Maler und Kupferstecher. War zunächst an der Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin als Maler tätig. Ab 1814 Mitglied und ab 1817 Professor der Königlichen Akademie in Berlin. Zeichnete und stach vorwiegend Illustrationen zu botanischen und archäologischen Werken.
